Karl Lagerfeld

What more can be said other than, when you hear the Lagefeld name, you KNOW its GOT to be good! The man and his fashions, perfumes/colognes, etc are UNIQUE, and represent a class that (wanna-be) designers/stylists of today just cant touch, and for that reason, will continue to look upward to that glass ceiling.

Coco Chanel

The so-called "stylists" of today have nothing on Coco Chanel and a handful of other great designers (past or present)I respect and appreciate because of their true understanding of classic beauty. I own a Channel jacket, and even tho it is apx. 20 yrs old, it design is timeless; cut..perfection(!), and quality...the best! These are type of clothes I dont mind paying a little more for, and I am so tired of how easily we lable someone as a designer or stylist simply because they know how to use a needle and thread, or because they studied fashion in school. As Coco Chanel proved, good fashion sense is something you either have or dont. She obviously did, and we all took notice.

When in his prime, I had a huge crush on him from the moment I saw him in "Dr. Zhivago" and "Funny Girl." So good looking and what a gentleman! True, he is older and grayer now, (arent we all?!)but, in MY book, Omar remains one class act. My only complaint is that we no longer see him on the screen. Would love to see him in some sort of romance story, because, after all, even us folks who are up there in age, like romance!

Well, if nothing more, I gotta give the ol' girl credit for her stick to it attitude that has allowed her to remain in the public eye as a singer who really doesnt have the best voice so instead relies on lots of fluff along with a great bod to fill in the gaps. In my book, she is OK, but just wish she'd be a little more 'real" and knock off that fake turn-on/turn off accent of hers along with the "Im better than you" attitude.

He "bombed" alright, and thats why the producer of "What not to wear" got rid of him. I lost respect for him after I gave his clothes, then offered at a home shopping channel, a try. What a diseaster! I had to send everything back at MY expense! I soon found out this is why they too got rid of him; too many returns/complaints. Having a few celebs willing to give some clothes a try is no biggie. Such celebs can also be found in the "What were they thinking?!" section of popular magazines which display fashion faux pas.
