You don't see all the women in broadcasting wearing candidates shirts on the job. I wouldn't wear a particular candidate shirt on my job. I am a teacher. I don't speak of my candidate to my students.
Well written and also how I feel:
Elisabeth has the right to endorse any candiddate she wishes, but it was very tacky and unprofessional of her to do such a thing on national television and it says even less about the view. I feel that promoted what she did by allowing her to go on the set with the shirt on. I have little respect for Elisabeth and the producers of the show. Elisabeth does not need to wear the shirt to promote McCain because the people who watch The View are more than aware of her choice. She makes it a point of letting us know every chance she gets. We would like to promote Obama on our jobs but it would not be professional, it would not be allowed, and it could be offensive to others around us. We choose to be considerate of others, unlike Elisabeth.
