To Britneysucks,Yes it was a Nigerian Dating/Scam on Myspace.I got an email warning me that the person :"John Williams"was not a real person ,but a scam operation out of Nigeria.I was urged to contact the FBI if I gave out any information about myself to this phony person.They do all the things you stated.BUT -They have gotten women on Myspace to give them their phone numbers  ,or to meet them someplace.They have used unsuspecting women as "drug horses" or "couriers";someone who unknowingly transports illegal drugs from country to country.They even Email you phony pictures and pretend they are real people .They sound real interested in meeting you so much they offer to fly you out to where they are.Perhaps,send airline tickets ,hotel,everything...You get there,you become their victim!You have no idea the crime ring and what they have done to many Americans.They try and get your home address to send flowers ,gifts,candy...all to get your address!Some women have been kidnapped ,robbed,arrested for drug trafficking,cashing stolen money orders.Some women are sold and imprisoned as sex slaves in a foreign country,or their young daughters!They try to gain your trust any way they can.It's so huge on Myspace right now that you cannot believe it.I'm just glad I never gave any personal info ie: a phone number,address ,or anything.I 'm not that lonely or stupid!Hey some guy sees your pictures ,or reads something you wrote,looks at art work you posted....you start getting all this false flattery ---->BEWARE!Here's the funny thing, I never posted a picture.I posted a painting!I use Myspace to talk to my out of town friends.It is a fun site.I like the fact that you can send art ,cute pictures with comments,music videos.I wasn't on there looking for a relationship.I have to admit,I thought I was speaking to a ART DEALER in England,and said he had a home in LA?He posted pictures of him and his daughter.He told me his wife died in a car accident seven years ago.He was raising his daughter by himself.his friends have tried to get him to move on and date again.He saw my artwork and profile and noticed I was a Christian Woman with young daughter!BINGO!I didn't put on my profile that i was a parent.Under interests,they ask you what books do you like ;I mentioned all my favs and the fact that I read my young daughter the Madonna series of children books, because I was very impressed by the moral content of the stories and beautiful illustrations.I set myself up to be a prime target for #1 pedophiles and #2 scams targeting Christian single women! I went back ,changed my name on MYSPACE,took out anything about my daughter ,or being a parent,put down married!I blocked any potential contact with any person that may pop up on my page.
