George Harrison
2008-06-23 15:01:15
I feel like my world hasn't been the same since he passed and it's still hard to imagine him not in it. He was always my favourite, since the age of 4 (1964) and I feel that his post Beatle work was largely ignored and unfairly criticized. It's a wonderful thing that his widow, Oliva continues to make sure that George's music, that might not have reached the masses before, is being revived for the many that love his music and want it all.

Hindus Furious About 'The Love Guru'

Don't you people get it! Myers has said that he had a special relationship with former Beatle George Harrison in a very "Pythonesque" way. They clicked. Myers family is from Liverpool and he has mentioned his love of the Beatles often. The first promo I saw of this movie cracked me up, as it was obviously, the Mahareshi, with whom the Beatles and their wives and friends studied in Rishikesh. Meditation is what was taught, but if you read some first hand reports, if he were among us, George Harrison would be the first person to say, "It's All Too Much"
Give Mike a break, not everyone creative is promoting a cause or out to hurt anyone or any group with their work. Mike Myers, I would think, least of all.

Ted Nugent To Play 6,000th Show In Detroit

My best friend in the world will be so happy. She lives on the Canada/Michigan border and we all grew up with the Tedster. The only thing that beats it is Bon Jovi at Bayfest in Sarnia about one week from now....Oh no, I guess you can tell how old we are now....No problem, take my word. People like Pammie NEVER feel old and NEVER will. Thanks for the news!

The Five Most Underrated And Overrated Songs By The Beatles
2008-04-13 02:36:09
As an avid and outspoken fan of the music of the Beatles, I have to say that for the very first time, I agreed that another band far outdid the Beatles on a beloved and very well known song. It was such a treat to see Joe Cocker's Grease Band do "With a Little Help from my Friends" and watching and listening to Henry McCullough sing the high backup vocals. This man, as many know, went on to play with Wings around 1973 and after being connected through a family friend who knows Henry, I must say....he is a wonderful musician, so humble when his vast accomplishments are mentioned, and I am so proud that he was a part of this amazing rendition by Joe Cocker and the Grease Band. The clip made my day. Thanks.
