Maya Rudolph returned to host Saturday Night Live this past weekend, and one of her funniest skits involved her take on pop star Beyonce.

The Bridesmaids star has been known for her portrayal of singer Whitney Houston on the show in the past, but since Whitney's passing last week Maya opted to take the safer, less controversial route with her impressions (and probably out of respect, too).

With Beyonce featuring in the news recently over the birth of her and rapper Jay-Z's daughter Blue Ivy she seemed the perfect target for the actress to poke a little fun at while not offending anyone yet still being able to show off her comedic this is how all R&B singers sound singing chops.

Maya was joined in the skit by several A-list "celebrities", including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj and Prince, who all stopped by to see the new addition to the Carter family.

Highlights of the bit include Jay Pharaoh's near-perfect take on Jay-Z and a cameo appearance from Justin Timberlake, whose Bon Iver impression might be the singer's best one yet on the show (seriously - Bon Iver won a Grammy?)
