The Barker Hanger at the Santa Monica airport was aglow with much more than just the lights that line the landing strip on Wednesday, May 13th. That was the night Maxim celebrated their 2009 Hot 100 list with a two-hour red carpet event and Dr. Pepper Cherry sponsored party. The festivities kicked off in the early evening, with stars like Summer Altice, Lacey Schwimmer, and Gabrielle Union (#71) taking their time to stroll and pose for press.

Audrina Patridge (#57) got the highest number of flashbulbs of the evening, second only to the arrival of Kim (#53), Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian.

Only one from the Top 10 made it out to the party-- #9 Jordana Brewster-- but the evening was not wrought for pretty women. Aisha Tyler's entrance was somewhat low-key despite her big, bubbly personality; Tricia Helfer (#75) very graciously took her time with every single person who asked for a moment with her; and Amanda Bynes (#74), though arriving "fashionably late" well after ten, wore a smile as pretty as her dress.

Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough obliged for "cutesy couple" photos, and Sean Patrick Thomas would not leave his wife's side all night, but Danneel Harris (#28) arrived sans boyfriend Jensen Ackles. In fact very few men showed up to support the ladies of the magazine overall, and even fewer eligible ones!

Andrew Firestone and his wife Ivana skipped the carpet to talk only to Extra and E! However, Jonathan Schaech did pop by for a few minutes, as did Heroes star Masi Oka, but for the most part it was just a parade of women: from Moon Bloodgood (#20) to MTV's Tila Tequila to Lala, who the paparazzi convinced to poke fun at her recent legal troubles. Adam Gregory, a breakout from the new 90210, was a surprise arrival and a huge hit with everyone inside, though, where it was joked that Tom Welling sent his stand-in (but the twenty-two year old might be even hotter than the Smallville star!)

The party really got going as Dr. Pepper Cherry bar started passing out their exclusive infused cocktails. Circus-themed inside with a giant Ferris wheel reading the Dr. Pepper logo, the barker hanger was converted into a sleek lounge with just the right amount of "country." DJ Am spun tracks as partygoers got to indulge in the sweet new beverage alongside cones of cotton candy. The guests spilled out into a patio area where newlyweds Heidi and Spencer Pratt were seen dashing out for one last photo op before joining Spencer's younger sister Stephanie at the bar.
