Mark Harmon is the latest actor to land a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 61 year old received the honor on Monday as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations for his hit TV drama NCIS, reports trade paper Variety.
NCIS cast members including Cote de Pablo, Michael Weatherly and Pauley Perrette turned up at the unveiling to show their support for Harmon, who has played Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs on the show since 2003.
Thanking his colleagues in his speech, he told the crowd, "Honest to God, I don't care who's number one on the call sheet. I don't care how big my trailer is. I'm here (for) a job, do it well and be a part of this whole team. I'm not here to stand out. On this show, there's always someone here longer and working harder than I am... You want to sit down with the editors and discuss something, they're here. It's like a family...
"I've never been the most talented, as an athlete or as an actor, but I understand the work ethic. I try hard but make mistakes all the time and try to better those mistakes. My daily thing is to learn something today that I didn't know yesterday, and that's the way I intend to live the rest of my life. That's the way I play the game."
