Lindsay Lohan's film career has taken a hit - the troubled star has been dropped from her new movie.
But writer/director David Michaels confirms the Mean Girls star won't be moving forward with the project.
He tells TMZ.com, "Our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we'll soon be announcing a replacement."
Lohan's last big-screen outing was the flop Labor Pains, which aired on U.S. TV in 2009 before going straight to DVD.
The news caps the end of a very bad week for Lohan - on Thursday, her dad Michael led a raid on her apartment in a desperate bid to convince her to seek help for alleged substance abuse issues. She was then named a suspect in the theft of a luxury watch.
