Liam Gallagher Considering Oasis Reunion In 2015
Liam Gallagher has stunned Oasis fans by revealing he'd consider a reunion to mark the 20th anniversary of the band's "(What's The Story) Morning Glory" album.
The group split in 2009 after feuding brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher fell out for good during a European tour. Liam has since formed Beady Eye with two of his Oasis bandmates and Noel recently launched a solo career.
The siblings have been fighting in the media ever since the split and Liam filed a lawsuit against his big brother earlier this year, accusing the guitarist of defaming him by claiming he'd lied about his reason for pulling out of a 2009 British festival show.
Noel has since apologized but the lawsuit has not been withdrawn and the brothers continue to attack each other in the press.
But, perhaps inspired by the news that one of his favorite bands the Stone Roses have reformed for a series of 2012 shows, Liam has started considering an Oasis get together, after Noel muted the idea in an August radio interview.
He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "In 2015, if we can put our s**t aside, we can tour and play the album in its entirety for the 20th anniversary. I'd be up for that... He's (Noel) the one that keeps mentioning it. I want to put him out of his misery.
"I think he needs to do his solo thing first and realize he's not that good without his brother. He's got to find out for himself. I'm up for it - I'm not desperate for it. If it doesn't work out, I don't give a s**t, I'm quite happy with Beady Eye."
