Kristin Cavallari Dishes On Her 'Perfect' Wedding Day
Former reality TV star Kristin Cavallari and Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler married in Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday; and the former Laguna Beach has now opened up about her special day in the latest issue of People magazine.
Cavallari, who plans on changing her legal name to Cutler while retaining her maiden name professionally, says her day was simple, but perfect.
"The flowers and everything were very simple but it was very warm and cozy," she says. "It was all about the lighting and the candles and the atmosphere was just so warm. It was absolutely perfect."
The couple wed at the Woodmont Christian Church in Nashville and held their reception at a nearby historical warehouse, complete with a southern comfort menu and a Motown-playing wedding band.
Kristin posted a wedding photo on her Instagram page on Wednesday, with a simple heart as the caption.
Kristin, 26, and Jay, 30, began dating in the fall of 2010 and were engaged in April 2011, but Cutler called things off just three months later.
Cavallari was "devastated" by the news as she had been in the midst of planning their wedding and readying herself for a move to Chicago to be with Cutler full-time.
But that November things were back on again and soon after the couple announced that they were expecting their first child.
“The first wedding that I was planning was the complete opposite of this one,” Cavallari said in her recent interview with People. "[This time] we wanted it to be smaller and more intimate. It was perfect.”
The couple's son Camden, now 10-months-old, was on hand for his parents' big day.
"We had two flower girls so one of them pulled him and our nephew in a wagon, and the other flower girl was throwing rose petals behind," she tells People. "I obviously didn't get to see it, but everyone thought it was just the cutest thing. I can't wait to see pictures!"
