The couple has been waging a bitter legal battle ever since the reality star filed to end their 72-day marriage in October 2011. The basketball player claims their marriage was a scam and Kardashian used their televised wedding to boost her ratings and income.
The couple was expected to meet in court yesterday in an attempt to put together a settlement before their case goes to trial on May 6. However, according to TMZ.com, the Brooklyn Nets player, who was last seen in New York City in the early hours of Friday morning, failed to appear.
Kardashian did attend the closed-door hearing.
Humpries is seeking an annulment. In February, his lawyer Marshall Waller quit after reportedly finding no proof of fraud to back up his client's claims.
Throughout the process, Humphries has insisted that he has the right to be present for court proceedings but stated that his NBA schedule will keep him busy until May or June. At one point it was rumored he turned down a $10 million deal to settle the divorce.
Meanwhile, Kardashian is several months pregnant with her rapper boyfriend Kanye West's baby, which is due in July.
