After failing to deny break-up reports in a series of tweets, model and fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons has fueled rumors she has split from her actor boyfriend Djimon Hounsou.
The couple's relationship has come under scrutiny this week when an article in the New York Daily News suggested the stars had called it quits following a big argument over money.
The report speculated that music mogul Russell Simmons' ex-wife was in financial difficulty after placing her six bedroom home in Beverly Hills, California, on the market for $4.7 million - more than $1 million less than her purchase price in 2007.
Lee Simmons quickly took to Twitter to blast reports of money troubles, writing, "Wow, I put 1 of several properties I own (+DON'T live in) on the market & now apparently my whole life is fallin (sic) apart?! Rumors, rumors."
However, she stopped short of addressing the main topic of the article - her romance with Hounsou - and her representative simply says, "Kimora has a beautiful family life."
A publicist for Hounsou has also dodged the split rumors, telling the New York Daily News, "Djimon's been working in Vancouver for the past few months."
Lee Simmons and Hounsou began dating in 2007 and are parents to three-year-old son Kenzo.
