A video game at New York Fashion Week? Yup, it happened this past week when the Just Dance franchise partnered with Michael Kuluva on Tuesday.
Kuluva created exclusive looks inspired by the dancing game franchise, ahead of the next installment’s launch in October. A variety of celebrities walked the runway including Kendall Jenner and women’s professional soccer star and gold medalist, Alex Morgan.
“Collaborating with the Just Dance brand felt like it made sense from the beginning,” said Kuluva, designer of Tumbler & Tipsy. “This game has created so much fun for people and I wanted my designs for the collection to reflect that same kind of fun. I’m honored to be partnered with a brand that elevates pop culture through design and experiences because that’s what I strive for in all of the work I do as an artist.”
In the picture below, Morgan strikes a pose wearing a Just Dance 4-inspired look at the Metropolitan Pavilion this past Tuesday. Her look is being auctioned off at www.charitybuzz.com/justdancegame to benefit 9/11 and Action America.
Just Dance 4 launches Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 on October 9, 2012; it launches on the upcoming Wii U console later in November.
