Newlywed Katy Perry extended her October wedding celebrations at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Sunday after winning the night's top prize.
With new husband Russell Brand cheering her on, Perry turned the air blue thanking the "best f**king crowd in Europe" while picking up the Best Video trophy for "California Gurls," beating the likes of Lady Gaga, 30 Seconds to Mars and Eminem.
The singer, who joined her new husband for their first public appearance since becoming man and wife, shared her joy with pal Rihanna, who was forced to miss the pop star's wedding in India last month.
The "Umbrella" hitmaker joined Perry among the performers at the star-studded ceremony in Madrid, Spain.
Lady Gaga was also a big winner - she thanked fans via satellite from Budapest, Hungary after scooping the Best Female, Best Song and Best Pop trophies.
And it was a good night for Justin Bieber too - he was voted the Best Push Act and the Best Male, seeing off competition from his mentor Usher, Enrique Iglesias and Kanye West.
Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Kid Rock and the Kings of Leon all performed live. Eva Longoria Parker hosted the event and introduced the crowd to a gang of hunks, pretending they were family.
The actress joked, "I recently did some research into my ancestry and it turns out I'm 70 per cent Spanish! I tracked down some of my relatives in Madrid (and) I promised that I'd bring them out on stage. A big welcome to the Longorias!"
