Kanye West landed a staggering 17 nominations for the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards. Nominees for the annual music ceremony were announced on Wednesday.
The rapper will compete in categories including "Producer of the Year," "Director of the Year," "Hustler of the Year" and "Lyricist of the Year," for which he will face competition from his "Watch the Throne" collaborator Jay-Z.
The duo's hit song "N**gas in Paris" is up for "Track of The Year" and "Best Club Banger," while West was nominated twice in the "Best Live Performer" category - as a solo act and also with partner Jay-Z.
Other multiple nominees include 2 Chainz (13) and Drake (11).
The ceremony, to be hosted for the third time by comedian Mike Epps, will air on October 9.
