Kanye West made a surprise appearance with Jay-Z at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York on Wednesday, four years after he cancelled a performance at the event due to his mother's death.
The rapper had been booked to perform at the lingerie catwalk show in 2007, but he pulled out after the loss of his mother, Dr. Donda West, who died after suffering complications from cosmetic surgery.
West took to the stage for a surprise appearance at the 2011 show at Manhattan's Lexington Avenue Armory and before bursting into a rendition of his hit track Stronger, he told the crowd, "In 2007, I was supposed to perform this song... then my mom passed away. She was my superhero - now she's my super-angel."
He was later joined on stage by his Watch The Throne collaborator Jay-Z.
The night also included a performance by Nicki Minaj and Maroon 5's Adam Levine, who sang Moves Like Jagger as he escorted his supermodel girlfriend Anne Vyalitsyna down the runway.
Orlando Bloom's model wife Miranda Kerr was another star of the show as she took to the catwalk wearing a bra made from $2.5 million -worth of diamonds.
