Jon Bon Jovi has been confirmed as the latest star to join Valentine's Day follow-up New Year's Eve - just weeks after he cast doubt on ever reviving his acting career.
The Bon Jovi frontman admitted in an interview last month he had little desire to step in front of the camera again, following roles in Pay It Forward and Moonlight and Valentino.
He told Larry King, "(Acting is) so far down the list of things to do these days, because the music has been so great. I've got other philanthropic actions and business stuff going on. So it's not that appealing."
However, the rocker, who hasn't acted since 2006, isn't retiring from Hollywood just yet - he's signed up for a role in director Garry Marshall's star-studded romantic comedy.
According to Reuters, Bon Jovi will play a rock star who once dumped Halle Berry's character in the movie, which will follow the lives of a group of New Yorkers on New Year's Eve.
Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Hilary Swank, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jessica Biel and Ashton Kutcher will also feature.
