Johnny Depp's old shirt has fetched over $3,000 in an internet auction. The actor sent the linen garment, which he wore in new movie The Libertine, to a British fan after she wrote asking him to donate something in aid of charity. The top was sold to a woman in the United States, according to a report in Britain's Daily Star newspaper.

Earlier this month, it was revealed the hunky actor had to be careful filming a saucy sex romp for the new film - in case he broke the antique bed he was romping on. Staff at English stately home Montacute House kept a close eye on the star while he was shooting raunchy scenes on a 16th century bed because they were scared the passionate moments might damage it. House steward Sharon Masters said: "It's a beautiful priceless oak carved bed. I was on set for the love scenes and thankfully nothing was damaged."
