Pop star Jessie J has sent her condolences to a partygoer who is fighting for his life in the hospital following a stabbing at a launch party in London where the singer performed.
The Price Tag hit-maker took to the stage at the event to promote BlackBerry cell phones at the Pulse nightclub in Southwark, south London on Tuesday night, and guests included N-Dubz star Fazer and rappers Chipmunk and Wretch 32, who also performed.
However, the party, hosted for competition winners, descended into chaos after Jessie J's performance when a man was allegedly stabbed in the neck with a broken bottle.
The unnamed victim was taken to the hospital and hundreds of revelers were reportedly held inside the club until the early hours of Wednesday morning while police investigated the incident.
A Scotland Yard spokesman says, "A man in his 30s has been injured following an incident at a party in southeast London. It is believed he was attacked with a broken bottle and the man has suffered a neck injury. He is in an east London hospital, where his condition is described as serious."
One man has reportedly been arrested and taken into police custody. Jessie J has now reached out to the victim, sending a message via her Twitter.com page and expressing her sadness at the night's events.
She writes, "My thoughts are with the person who was seriously injured last night at the Blackberry BBM party. So sad. I really hope they are ok."
