Jennifer Love Hewitt has found a new home on television following the cancelation of her Lifetime series The Client List back in November.

Hewitt will now join hit CBS crime drama Criminal Minds in a recurring role as an undercover FBI agent named Kate Callahan. The actress will join stars Joe Mantegna, Shemar Moore and Jeanne Tripplehorn as part of the agency's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU).

"We're thrilled to introduce a new special agent by adding the very talented Jennifer Love Hewitt to our amazing cast," said 'Criminal Minds' executive producer Erica Messer in a statement on Tuesday.

"Many of us on the show have enjoyed working with her over the years and look forward to again," Messner added. "We have exciting storylines planned for her character and the entire BAU team as we head into our 10th season."

The actress, who gave birth to daughter Autumn in November, severed ties with Lifetime over creative differences after pushing for the inclusion of real life husband Brian Hallisay and her pregnancy written into the storyline.

The show's 10th season premiere is October 1.
