Actor Jeff Bridges has landed a record deal - the Crazy Heart star has signed a contract with EMI's Blue Note Records.
The 61-year-old actor will team up with his Grammy Award-winning music producer pal T Bone Burnett, who co-wrote the music for Crazy Heart, to create a new album, which is set to be released later this summer.
Bridges, who will write original songs for the record, has also recruited the talents of a number of artists including Roseanne Cash and Sam Phillips for the project. Bridges has been writing and recording music for years and releasing it through his website.
The Oscar winner and Burnett teamed up to perform together for the first time at the Fallsview Casino overlooking Niagara Falls in September.
