Multimillion selling Grammy nominee Jamie Cullum will kick off a year of sustained U.S. activity with a tour this March, playing for his largest stateside audiences to date on the heels of the enormous success of his sophomore album 'Catching Tales' (click for review). Already renowned as a remarkable live performer, the newly announced dates find the young singer, songwriter, and pianist making yet another major leap -- headlining venues (many with 1000+ capacity) ranging from NYC's Town Hall to the Avalon in LA, with other major stops including the new landmark Kimmel Center in Philadelphia and the Fitzgerald Theatre in St. Paul (home of A Prairie Home Companion). Cullum will also perform several shows at SxSW in Austin including the Verve Forecast Showcase on Friday night.

Coming on the heels of his multiplatinum worldwide smash debut, Cullum's newest album 'Catching Tales' showcases both Cullum's raw energy and insatiable musical curiosity and creativity and has spawned a chorus of praise (and is his fastest selling to date, recently crossing the 100,000 mark stateside). "Cullum has hit the jackpot" raved Q magazine, and U.S. critics agree: The work of "an immense talent" according to the Associated Press, "Cullum's new album blurs genre distinctions and international borders" says Billboard.

The March tour will kick off a sustained year of activity for Cullum, with an additional tour in May and June already in the works including more major headlining dates in addition to several festival appearances.
