James Woods has been given the all-clear after undergoing tests for chest pains. The actor - who was nominated for Oscars for his roles in Salvador and Ghosts of Mississippi - went into hospital for an angiogram on Monday.

Doctors who performed the procedure said no blockages, or "anything to cause concern", had been found and gave the star a clean bill of health. He is now back at his California home recuperating.

The 59-year-old star's spokesman, Ron Hoffmann, told People magazine: "He was in and out of the hospital but now he's home and he's fine."
