Jack White was booed by fans at a show in New York on Saturday night when he left the stage after playing for less than a hour.
The White Stripes star performed a solo set at the Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, but left the audience confused when he bowed out after just 55 minutes.
White did not say goodbye before leaving the stage so gig-goers waited around for him to reappear, and when the rocker failed to return to the stage, they booed and began a chant of "F**k Jack White," according to the New York Observer.
A member of the venue's security team reportedly told the publication that White "wasn't happy with the sound," while the newspaper also reports a fan in the front row was removed from the auditorium after several "angry exchanges" with the star.
White has yet to comment on the show or give a reason for his short set.
