Johnny Depp and Halle Berry have something in common this Halloween: their characters (in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series and "Catwoman," respectively) are the fans' top inspirations for movie-related Halloween costumes, according to a recent survey by Fandango.

Fandango asked thousands of movie fans to rank the costumes they're most likely to wear this year, and the results are surprising. According to the survey, 70% of the respondents said that they plan to wear movie-inspired costumes this Halloween.

"Pirates"' Captain Jack captured the top spot for favorite male movie-related costume, but Spider-Man, Dracula, Batman and Harry Potter were not far behind. Interestingly, "Star Wars" protagonist Luke Skywalker did not crack the Top Ten, whereas nemesis Darth Vader did make the cut.

"Catwoman"'s Halle Berry may have won a Razzie Award in 2004, but her skin-tight costume still ranks as a major hit among Fandango fans. Other top female costume vote-getters were Tinkerbell, Cinderella, Lara Croft, Cleopatra, Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley's character from "Pirates") and John Travolta's Edna Turnblad (from "Hairspray").
