Ja Rule Heads To The Studio Before Prison Stint
Prison-bound rapper Ja Rule spent his last day as a free man recording new music and taking his family to the movies.
The troubled hip-hop star will begin a two-year jail term on Wednesday after being convicted of weapons charges stemming from a 2007 arrest in New York.
He was determined to make the most of his last remaining hours of freedom, so he took his loved ones to see X-Men: First Class and later visited the studio, where he put the finishing touches on his upcoming album Pain is Love 2 (PIL 2).
In a post on his Twitter.com page, he wrote, "My last day out," before posting video footage of himself thanking loyal fans for their support.
He says, "This is my last day. I'm out. Tomorrow they take me to jail, tomorrow... Much love to the fans. I love y'all. Thanks for holding me down throughout the years, through this whole situation I'm going through. Be home real soon."
