MTV is planning a 24-hour telethon on both MTV and MTV2. They're putting the fate of the "Human Giant" sketch comedy show right where it belongs: in the hands of the fans. Human Giant needs a million hits on between 12 noon ET on Friday, May 18th and 12 noon ET on Saturday, May 19th – ending with the Human Giant season finale at 11:30 am ET/8:30 pm PT.

To show their support, fans can text, email, send photos, watch videos and pretty much do anything the Human Giant cast demands on -- like showing up in Times Square to deliver a pizza counting for 80 hits.

Throughout the 24 hours, surprise – and expected – guests will show up to keep the guys company and, in a few instances, sing a few songs like Ted Leo, Tapes 'n Tapes, Tegan and Sara, and Morningwood. Other friends stopping by are Will Arnett and Michael Cera of Arrested Development, Eugene Mirman, Zach Galifianakis, The Daily Show's Rob Riggle, Andy Blitz, Jon Glaser, Slovin and Allen, and Jon Benjamin.

This 24 hours might be the most important of the Human Giant's life – and with their on-air lives on the line, cast members Aziz Ansari, Rob Huebel, and Paul Scheer are going to sweat to make it count (hopefully not literally). Most of all, that means funny – and whether it's inside a studio full of fans or outside in Times Square, nothing is off-limits.

"Human Giant" on Thursdays at 10:30PM (ET/PT)

"Human Giant" hijacks the network with its own style of fast-paced, hard-hitting comedy. "Human Giant" is Aziz Ansari, Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer and Jason Woliner. First seen online, short clips like "Shutterbugs," "Clell Tickle: Indie Marketing Guru" and "The Illusionators" have gained a huge cult following. The short films stay true to that user-gen and viral video feel, intensified by a rebellious rock n' roll attitude. Never a dull moment as special guest appearances include Ghostface Killah, Tony Hawk, Kelly Slater, Mary Lynn Rajskub ("24"), Patton Oswalt ("Reno 911"), Rob Riggle ("The Daily Show"), and Brian Posehn ("The Sarah Silverman Program"). "Human Giant" has gained a large audience in the New York comedy scene through live shows at the underground club Upright Citizens Brigade and was recently named one of "10 Comics to Watch in 2006" by Variety.
