So it's officially happened, "House" fans. Gregory House has completely lost his marbles. Sure he's tried to kill himself and isolated everyone who might love him by his biting wit and cruelty, but now the one thing he always had to count on is gone: his brain. At the end of last episode, House saw Amber. And not in the Sixth Sense "I see dead people" way. In the "my brain is probably melting" way.

Amber admits straight out she is a hallucination and product of his own mind. She is able to bring up deep memories of his and figure out the solution to problems. Basically, Amber is the part of House's mind that finds out the right diagnosis at the last second. Or something like that. Creepy. House cannot get to sleep and that's a problem since he has a new case. A deaf teenager is at a wrestling match and then starts writhing in pain. His entire body seems to be effected, and House decides to implant a device in his brain to help him hear again. Without his or his mother's consent. Secretly she is pleased, and even the boy is at first when he hears his name for the first time. But knowing he'd have to transfer to a new school and maybe lose his girlfriend, he rips the device out of his own head. Wow.

House tries to get some sleeping pills from Wilson, but it is at this point he realizes that Fake Amber is actually helping him figure out the case. He throws the pills away. With her help he diagnoses the patient with a heart problem and then MS. Yay, case solved. She also helps him plan Chase's bachelor party, which was originally given to Wilson but House snatched away from him. Probably the better idea, since House seems pretty great at throwing bachelor parties, in an odd way. It's strange to see him so enthusiastic about making people happy for once, but if there are strippers involved, he's glad to help. Wilson claims he does not want to go, but this does not work out for him since House uses his place for the party.

Cameron and Chase are getting married pretty fast, aren't they? It was only a few weeks ago they got engaged. Oh well. Everyone has a pleasant time at the bachelor party until Chase drunkenly licks a stripper's stomach (no better way of explaining that) and gets strawberry taste in his mouth. He's allergic to strawberry. House is disturbed when he thinks he may have orchestrated the whole event and purposely let Chase almost die from an allergic reaction. Then it turns out the patient is not cured at all, which freaks House out enough that he gives up on the case and goes home to get sleep instead.

Luckily Foreman actually has his moments of brilliance - although not as many as Kutner did in his short time on the show - and figures out the real problem. An auto-immune disorder which was masked when the boy chewed tobacco, and then he stopped and the disorder flared up. His mother decides to put the implant back into his brain so they can try it out. House has a good night's sleep and wakes up ... to Fake Amber still being there. Uh oh. House is so headed for the looney bin, but honestly, it should've happened about three seasons ago!

"House" is on FOX on Monday nights at 8 PM EST.
