Oh, "House," remember when you were a show a bout crazy medical cases and an equally crazy druggie doctor who lived outside the rules? This was before it became all about the personal lives of the characters and random romances, of course. Those were good times. This is now the show that seems to think it would be completely believable that Cameron, a young doctor with no real administrative ability, could take Cuddy's place without the board apparently caring or paying attention. Ah well, you work with what you got, and we still love you.

This week House gets the kind of patient he always loves … to hate. A happy person. Bah! This sweet and cuddly special education teacher named Sara starts coughing up blood, and Cameron is now in charge of watching over House. Cuddy is at home with new foster-child Rachel. She is going to regret that soon. House takes Sara's case but plans to use her as a way to mess with Cameron for the rest of the episode, demanding wild tests that Cuddy would never approve, but then Cameron counteracts by saying yes to basically everything he says. In some ways, it makes sense. Despite her former crush on him, she was a part of his team and knows that House comes up with insults from his insane tests. She's much more likely to accept his wild reasoning because she knows it tends to work out. House thinks this is all a game and keeps trying to maneuver her, but he knows he already won.

Meanwhile Cuddy is a wreck at home. Wilson visits and seems more attached in the baby than she is, which is clearly the problem here. Cuddy just doesn't feel anything toward Rachel. Wilson gently tries to convince her that the emotion will come in time, but she's not having it. Then he does the classic stupid thing and brings his concerns to House, but he surprises everyone by not yelling 'I TOLD YOU SO' for the whole episode. Instead he is very serious and tells her to give the baby back. Later on, during a surgery where Cameron allowed House to cut off half of his patient's skull, Cuddy calls in and demands they stop. She starts losing it when Rachel cries and cries for no reason, but in doing this two things happen: she finally connects to the baby, and House gets the clue he needs to save Sara's life. Unfortunately the answer is how she manages to stay so happy and calm all the time with her stressful students, but she seems willing to deal with that because she genuinely loves the kids. Take that, House!

Yay, the Foreteen drama continues. They do admit that they are dating to the team, since House easily figures it out, but Foreman is wigging out because his new lady love is on the placebo. Because this is TV land, he's already apparently in love with her and decides to risk his career to get her on the real medicine. He also confessed to three people that he wanted to do it (Cameron, Chase, House), so hopefully they will cover for him when the inevitable falling out happens for the trial. There is absolutely no chemistry between Foreman and Thirteen, and since last week he manipulated her into dating him and now is suddenly in love, it just continues to be a little annoying. Good news though, she might die next week! Of course we'll all care, right? Anyone? Anyone?

"House" is on FOX Monday's at 8 PM EST.
