Even though CES doesn’t officially start until tomorrow, Harman made a couple of announcements about forthcoming products from JBL and Harman Kardon that will be on display at the consumer electronics show this week.

The JBL Charge ($149) is a portable stereo speaker with wireless Bluetooth technology that also boasts a 12 hour battery charge. When not playing your music, it’ll even charge your smartphone or tablet. It will available during the first quarter of 2013 in black, blue and green.

The JBL OnBeat Mini ($149) is a portable speaker dock with the new Apple Lightning connector, making it perfect for your iPad mini, the refreshed iPad or iPhone 5. It’ll be out in March.

The JBL Rumble ($399.95) is also a Lightning speaker dock, with a focus on providing the best bass sound. It even features streaming with other devices and being marketed towards DJs. It’ll be out in the spring.

The Harman Kardon AVR 2700 ($799) is a 7.1-channel AV receiver that has wireless AirPlay streaming and a whopping seven HDMI ports. The Harman Kardon AVR 3700 ($999), meanwhile, is a 7.2-channel AV receiver that has even more HDMI ports – eight – and even 4K pass-through, in addition to AirPlay streaming. Both receivers will be out in the first quarter of 2013.

(I’m currently testing and reviewing a Harman Kardon receiver. The full write-up will be available later this month on Starpulse.)
