Hip-hop star Missy Elliot has revealed her battle with autoimmune disorder Graves' Disease changes the way she looks in an instant.
The rapper recently opened up about her three-year health crisis, revealing her symptoms became so bad she couldn't drive or even hold a pen.
She also experienced hairloss and severe mood swings - but that wasn't the scariest aspect of the condition.
She says, "You wake up and your eyes feel like they got rocks in 'em... You looking at yourself and now my eyes have changed their structure - that's a lot to deal with."
Her manager Mona Scott-Young adds, "Your eyes bulge a little bit... Her eyeballs didn't sit in the socket."
Thanks to radiation treatment and medication, the hitmaker has learned how to control the disease.
