Gloria Estefan is getting her own musical next year on Broadway that will chronicle her journey from Cuba to Miami, Florida with husband Emilio Estefan, Jr., and her rise to pop stardom.
The stage production, titled "On Your Feet," will kick of at Chicago's Oriental Theatre in Illinois for its first five weeks before heading to the Great White Way in October.
The show will begin previews at the Marquis Theatre on October 5, according to Playbill.
Tony award winner Jerry Mitchell will direct, while choreographer Sergio Trujillo, who put together the dance routines for Broadway hit "Jersey Boys," will bring his talents to the show as well.
Open casting calls will be held in New York and Miami next month.
"Finding the right performers to tell our story on the Broadway stage is the most important step in this project," Gloria Estefan said in a statement.
"Our own journey together started in Miami, a city that has been such an inspiration to us both, and it only felt right that the city be a cornerstone of our search for the next generation of bright talent."
