George Jones Resting At Home Following Hospitalization
Veteran country star George Jones has thanked fans for their support following his release from hospital on Tuesday.
The 80-year-old singer was admitted to a medical facility in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday suffering from an upper respiratory tract infection.
He was due to be released the following day, but doctors kept him in for observation and he was finally allowed home on Tuesday.
A statement on his website reads, "George Jones wants to thank all his friends and fans for their prayers and well wishes over the past few days. Mr. Jones will be resting at home until he plans to return to the stage on April 20th in Minnesota."
