The Tide, by The Spill Canvas

And there's three, count 'em, three,
Children playing on the beach
They were eager to learn,
To be taught,
And to teach

There's Veronica,
She's biting her lip
As she watches the waves turn white at the tip
And there's Vada,
Radiating with joy
And luckily she still can't stand the sight of a boy
And lastly there's Dade,
His hair dances in the wind
And he's wondering what love is
And why it has to end

And he can't understand
How everyone goes on breathing when true love ends
His mother whispers quietly...

Heaven's not a place that you go when you die
It's that moment in life when you actually feel alive
So live for the moment
And take this advice, live by every word
Love is just a hoax so forget anything that you have heard
And live for the moment now

And there's three, count 'em, three,
Children growing on the beach
They were eager to learn,
To be taught,
And to teach

There's Veronica,
She's licking her lips
As she waits for her real, first passionate kiss
And there's Vada,
Can't admit her jealousy
Of her sister Veronica, and how she's so pretty (and how she's so pretty)
Lastly there's Dade,
Still sitting on the dock
Ponders his life, and he skips his rocks
And he wonders when his father will return
But he's not coming back

And he can't understand
How everyone goes on breathing when true love ends
His mother whispers quietly...

Heaven's not a place that you go when you die
It's that moment in life when you actually feel alive
So live for the moment
And take this advice, live by every word
Love is just a hoax so forget everything that you have heard (forget everything)

And there's three, count 'em, three,
Children missing from the beach
They were eager to learn,
To be taught,
And to teach

But the sad thing
Is that they never lived passed the age of fifteen
Due to neglect from their mother
Who was bed ridden by her ex-lover, their father
She didn't even notice, or pay much attention
As the tide came in and swept her three into the ocean
Now all her advice, it seems useless

No, heaven's not a place that you go when you die
It's that moment in life when you touch her and you feel alive
So live for the moment
And take this advice, live by every word
Love's completely real, so forget anything that you've heard
And live for the moment now

[Sunshine - Alice in Chains.]
Am I too contagious
Full of sick desire
Am I that I promise
Burning corpsed pyre

Then some dude came down to touch the mother
Mother touched, and dude ain't here no more

Am I your reflection
Melting mirror smile
Am I worth the value
Do my love defile

Then some dude came down to touch the mother
Mother touched and dude ain't here no more
Ain't no day the sun don't crack
Try brand some name across my back so you care?
Find someone to tell you

[chorus]
Sunshine...sweet love my labor
Don't mind...I dont care no more

Can you face the queston?
Is my soul entire?

[chorus]

"don't #@#%$ fight, let's party tonight, and if you're straight edge dont worry, i'll buy you a sprite."

"tonight we're gonna party like there's no tomorrw, forget about your woahs and drown in sorry, dont forget about your boys when you're deep in that bottle, drink till #@#%$ death, yeah that's our motto"

"party till you pass out, drink till you're dead, dance all night until you can't feel your legs"

"no longer will hostility guide us, no longer will hate divide us, and no longer will violence undermine us, FIRE WITH FIRE"

"rest assured, that with a heart thats pure, we'll be victorious and not let our hate get the best of us"

[Ten Years Gone - Led Zeppelin.]
Then as it was, then again it will be
An' though the course may change sometimes
Rivers always reach the sea
Blind stars of fortune, each have several rays
On the wings of maybe, down in birds of prey
Kind of makes me feel sometimes, didn't have to grow
But as the eagle leaves the nest, it's got so far to go

Changes fill my time, baby, that's alright with me
In the midst I think of you, and how it used to be

Did you ever really need somebody, And really need 'em bad
Did you ever really want somebody, The best love you ever had
Do you ever remember me, baby, did it feel so good
'Cause it was just the first time, And you knew you would

Through the eyes an' I sparkle, senses growing keen
Taste your love along the way, see your feathers preen
Kind of makes makes me feel sometimes, didn't have to grow
We are eagles of one nest, the nest is in our soul

Vixen in my dreams, with great surprise to me
Never thought I'd see your face the way it used to be
Oh darlin', oh darlin'

I'm never gonna leave you
I never gonna leave
Ten years gone, holdin' one

Sophomore Slump Or Comeback Of The Year, by Fall Out Boy

Are we growing up,
Or just going down?
It's just a matter of time until we're all found out.
Take our tears,
Put 'em on ice.
'Cause I swear I'd burn this city down to show you the light.

We're the therapists
Pumping through your speakers,
Delivering just what you need.
We're well-read and poised,
We're the best boys.
We're the chemists
Who've found the formula,
To make your heart swell and burst.
No matter what they say,
Don't believe a word.

'Cause I'll keep singing this lie if you'll keep believing it.
I'll keep singing this lie,
I'll keep singing this lie.

Are we growing up,
Or just going down?
It’s just a matter of time until we’re all found out.
Take our tears, put 'em on ice.
'Cause I swear I'd burn this city down to show you the light.

We're traveled like gypsies,
Only with worse luck,
And far less gold.
We're the kids you used to love,
But then we grew old.
We're the lifers here 'til the bitter end,
Condemned from the start.
Ashamed of the way,
The songs and the words own the beating of our hearts.

'Cause I'll keep singing this lie,
I'll keep singing this lie.

Are we growing up,
Or just going down?
It’s just a matter of time until we’re all found out.
Take our tears,
Put 'em on ice.
'Cause I swear I’d burn this city down to show you the light.

There’s a drug in the thermostat to warm the room up.
And there's another around to help us bend your trust.
I’ve got a sunset in my veins.
And I need to take a pill to make this town feel okay.

The best part of "Believe" is the "Lie".
I hope you sing along and steal a line.
I need to keep you like this in my mind.
So give in or just give up.

The best part of "Believe" is the "Lie".
I hope you sing along and steal a line.
I need to keep you like this in my mind.
So give in or just give up.

Are we growing up,
Or just going down?

Are we growing up,
Or just going down?
It’s just a matter of time until we’re all found out.
Take our tears,
Put 'em on ice.
'Cause I swear I’d burn this city down to show you the light.

Generation Why -KissChasy

I've got a frustration
With higher education
The theory of creation is dumbing me down
And yes I've got an issue with the current situation
Going on in the country whose name I can't pronounce...

Being negative is the best
I'm feeling so happy that I'm depressed
Give my love to my enemies
I'm paranoid and that;s ok with me

The earth is getting warmer
Soon it will be a sauna
And we will have to move our things to outer space
Look at all the slaves
Making jackets out of suede
The corporations run the world and I can't complain...

Being negative is the best
I'm feeling so happy that I'm depressed
Give my love to my enemies
I'm paranoid and that's ok with me

La la la la

Incurable diseases
And followers of Jesus
Are trying to end contraception are they insane?!
The sexist and the racist
Are loving all the hate
And the homophobe, homophobes, homophobes are secretly gay...

Being negative is the best
I'm feeling so happy that I'm depressed
Give my love to my enemies
I'm paranoid and that's ok with me

Being negative is the best
I'm feeling so damn happy that I'm depressed
Give my love to my enemies
I'm paranoid and that's ok with me

That's ok with me

This song coz its been stuck in my head and it took me agaes to remember that it was this song!!! and it was just this line over and over! "Its been a long hard road without you by my side" and the tune of the song...

Good Charlotte - Emotionless
Hey Dad,
I'm writing to you,
not to tell you that I still hate you.
Just to ask you how you feel
and how we fell apart,
how this fell apart.

Are you happy out there in this great wide world?
Do you think about your sons?
Do you miss your little girl?
When you lay your head down,
How do you sleep at night?
Do you even wonder if we're alright?

but we're alright,
We're alright...

Its been a long hard road without you by my side.
Why weren't you there all the nights that we cried?
You broke my mother's heart,
You broke your children for life.
Its not okay,
but we're alright.
I remember the days you were a hero in my eyes,
but Those are just a long lost memory of mine.
I spent so many years learning how to survive,
now I'm writing just to let you know I'm still alive.

The days I spent so
cold, so hungry,
Were full of hate,
I was so angry
The scars run deep inside this tatooed body,
Theres things I'll take to my grave,
But I'm Okay, I'm Okay.

Its been a long hard road without you by my side
Why weren't you there all the nights that we cried
You broke my mother's heart
You broke your children for life
Its not okay,
but we're alright
I remember the days you were a hero in my eyes
But those are just a long lost memory of mine,
Now I'm writing just to let you know im still alive,
And I'm still alive.

and Sometimes I forget
Yeah, and this time,
I'll admit,
That I miss you,
Said I miss you

Its been a long hard road without you by my side
Why weren't you there all the nights that we cried
You broke my mother's heart
You broke your children for life
Its not okay,
but we're alright
I remember the days you were a hero in my eyes
But Those are just a long lost memory of mine,
now I'm writing to just let you know I'm still alive

And sometimes I forget,
and this time,
I'll admit,
That I miss you,I miss you,
Hey Dad...

So, now you're not there,
but your ghost still burns in the air.
And finally above us the waves have come,
to take you away.

And with this song, I'll say good bye,
and thank you for what you've done to my life.
Finally, I'll say it with love.
I hope you rest, in the stars above.
And I don't understand what you died for.
We still could have given so much more.
Even though you were something I could never be.
I know you're still there watching over me.

I love these lyrics too!

"(Unknown Title)" - Evanescence
 "I know a secret
 Something still belongs to me
I'm not afraid of those who kill the body
For still they cannot kill the soul

 You may beat me down
 Just denying the truth
But you can't kill the me
 In you

 Dreams are illusions
They fade away before we can catch them
 Promises may be broken,
 Dreams we'll forget
But what's birthed in you cannot die

 You may beat me down
 Just denying the truth
But you can't kill the me
 In you..."

-This song was preformed live at Vino's in 1999. The title remains a mystery; the song was never released.

She told me that Jesus loves me
But I never knew who Jesus was
Some kid, somewhere fckd up
Well, isn't this what a Saviour does?

I learned from you that I do not crumble
I learned that strength is something you choose
All of the reasons to keep on believin'
There's no question, that's a lesson that I learned from you.
