Her getup also features what we like to call a stone-age keytar, a scepter, and a dress made from disco ball leftovers - that comes nowhere close to covering her up entirely.

She has pulled out of a second gig supporting British band Take That, due to a mystery illness.

She axed her warm-up slot for the group on their Circus Tour in Manchester, England on Saturday night after feeling unwell, although fans at the show were not given an explanation for her absence. And the pop sensation missed a second concert on Sunday because she was still feeling poorly.

Her spokesperson tells the BBC, "She was feeling unwell on Saturday and, after consulting her doctor, the decision was reluctantly taken that she was unable to perform with Take That at Old Trafford last night and tonight. She is currently resting on doctor's orders, but is looking forward to rejoining Take That at Wembley next weekend."

"She would like to thank Take That for supporting her decision, and apologize to the band and her fans for being unable to perform."

In one of the candid photos, her - real name Stefani Germanotta - wears a breast-bearing bra under an off-the-shoulder shirt and in another saucy shot she arches her back in a figure-hugging black leather corset.

It's not the first time she has bared almost all for a magazine shoot - she recently appeared on the front of Rolling Stone wearing nothing but heavy make-up and a see-through bubble corset.

She has hinted her relationship with her entrepreneur boyfriend is over - a month after the pair was photographed "making waves" on a beach during a romantic vacation.

She was linked to a 23-year-old mystery man, known only as Speedy, after they were photographed holding hands and kissing passionately in Hawaii in June. However she insists she is now enjoying being on her own.

She tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "I'm a single girl. I like to have a good time. I just sleep with the guys in the band all the time because it's easier."

And her slow rise to the top has shown her she could never take part in auditioning artists on a TV talent show, insisting every musician has the right to try for stardom.

She says, "I've never been asked to be a judge, but I wouldn't say yes if I was.

"I don't believe it's right to judge music. It's so personal. Right now I'm possessed with this incredible instinctual energy to write joyous melodies. I don't know where it's coming from."
