I dunno. I'd consider them relatively unknown. At the same time... in most underground circles of the "metal society" everyone knows of them.

Oh, agreed! 10,000 fold!

You're an idiot.

GWAR!!
They have been around for years.  The music is ok but the live show is something everyone needs to see.  I've never been to a show like it.  Its larger than life....blood cannons, vomit guns, giant man eating #@$%#$, political figures being decapitated....it's freakin awesome!!

Sounds... like desperate musicians. If you can't keep people interested in your music you shouldn't have a live act at all.

Here are several bands I like, one of which plays and records in my area of Philadelphia, that I think will get more air play:
1) The Whigs;
2) Von Hayes;
3) Flobots;
4) Cage The Elephant;
5) Silversun Pickups;
and 6) The Virgins.

On this, my signature page, I pasted several songs from ten of my favorite bands: Joe Jackson; The Byrds; The Kinks; a pre - Disney’ed Genesis song on a scrolling song player; Barenaked Ladies; Tom Petty; Pearl Jam; The Velvet Underground; and a very, powerful and cryptically endearing band Joy Division singing ‘Atmosphere’ - just close your eyes and listen to how powerful, beautifully enigmatic, cryptically engaging and raw Ian’s vocalization is on this song; lastly, a live version of "I Am One" sung by The Who and Eddie Vedder.
