I really like Supernanny cause it is just one and four or  more. I saw both show. Come on how can this perants let there children get that way. I am not a perant but the ones are the show are walking all over theirs. When I was a kids and I ever did that was grounded to my room.

Yes me too. If I acted like that I would have gotten smacked into the middle of next week. Now you can't hit a child it's called child abuse. They expect us to use some kind of child psychology or positive reinforcement crap. It doesn't work and the monsters run wild. If I ever have a child I dare them to tell me I can't speak him or her because I will I will not have a monster in my home

just b/c they say 'i am the parent' deosnt mean that they should be able to hurt you.
that just means that theyre able to punish you.
i still get hit to this very day. rare, but it still happens.

There's a difference between abusing and discipline. The moment the ability to spank your kid was taken away, kids took full advantage of it.
Giving your kid a smack or two, if done right, and not abusinvely,, there is nothing wrong with, but I guess you have to HAVE kids to realise that.

ok now a days, if a parent smacks a kid, they will smack them back. its rediculous. i used to get smacked all the time. but then i learned that if i dont cry, they wont do it anymore. so now they just ground me for a month if i get into trouble... but my stepmoms reasons for grounding me for a month are REDICULOUS. ex: "if u forget to do the dishes before u go to bed again, ur grounded for a month." or "if u wake ur sister up ur grounded for a month!" its sooo annoying. especially sinse shes not even my real mom

oh i know that, i was just talking about the whole asbusing thing.
its wrong for abuse, but accepted for some discipline.

On the subject of abuse versus discipline...here is a little story about my youngest son....when he was 12, I asked him to take the clean dishes out of the dishwasher and put them away. He didn't want to, and got angry when I insisted he do so. Well...he puffed his little 12 yr.old chest out, and balled his fists at his sides, as if he wanted to strike me....so I spanked his behind! He called 911, the police showed up, him thinking they would take me to jail for abuse. He thought wrong....the officers asked him to show the "bruises" and as he didn't want to drop trou and show his pink butt, after my explaining the whole scenario, they just told him that 911 calls for abuse are for just that....ABUSE, and NOT because he got a spanking which he had deserved for threatening physical violence to his mother over chores!!!
