She has shattered her clean-cut image by having her nose pierced.

Internet gossips have been awash with speculation about her new body piercing ever since she posted a picture of herself and her mother on her Twitter.com page earlier this week.

The picture clearly shows her sporting a stud in her nose.

And now her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, has confirmed the piercing is real - and admitted he took her to the studio to face the needle.

He tells talk show host Larry King, "Her daddy took her (to the piercing studio). She said, 'Daddy, would you take me to get my nose pierced?' I said, 'Did you ask your momma?' And she said, 'Yes. Mama said I could do it if you would take me.' I thought kind of it was one of those bizarre moments. But honestly, my life and what we're going through and the things that we've been through, it's like being in The Twilight Zone. So I just kind of roll with the punches."

She has hit back at accusations she cut short a phone interview with a radio show in Florida after the DJ began asking uncomfortable questions - insisting she simply ran out of time to talk.

She was reported to have taken offense when the host of the MJ Morning Show began quizzing her about controversial comments from Jamie Foxx - who recently joked the 16 year old should "make a sex tape... do some heroin... and become a lesbian."

She is said to have hung up the phone as soon as the questions became tricky.

But she is adamant she would never behave so badly - putting the incident down to a combination of technical problems and a shortage of time.

She writes on her Twitter.com page, "There's a little drama (of course the world loves it) because apparently I "hung up" on a radio station today and I hate to say that's not true. I (have) a specific time limit and schedules are set up for specific time frames for each station... If a station goes over time I am IMMEDIATELY connected to the next station. YES, I am sorry if anyone thought I 'hung up" on them. The peeps at the radio stations r friends, we know each other well and have a great relationship. I'm sorry if anything was miscommunicated, taken out of context, or misunderstood."

She will quit her role as Hannah Montana when the show's fourth season ends next year.

She skyrocketed to stardom as a normal schoolgirl who leads a double life as a pop star at night. Rumors she was itching to move on from the TV series were silenced when she signed up for another season of the hit show earlier this month.

However her dad Billy Ray Cyrus - who also plays her father in the program - has confirmed the fourth season will be her last.

He tells Access Hollywood, "Quite frankly, I give a lot of credit to her for taking it to another year. She didn't want it to just end with whatever was the last episode we did... She wanted there to be an official ending to Hannah Montana."

She is scheduled to tape 11 episodes and a special one-hour series finale starting in January.

A picture circulating online purporting to be of her engaged in a sex act is a fake. A rep for the singer said, "The alleged photo of her circulating the internet is completely fabricated."

It wouldn't be the first time she has been involved in a photo scandal. Last year she came under fire for a risque photo shoot in Vanity Fair and personal pictures from her hacked cell phone have also been posted online.

While bikini photos are one thing, looking for photos of her girl in a sexual context is illegal and wrong. And whoever took the time to Photoshop her with a porn star should be ashamed of himself.

She has brushed off rumors of a romantic reconciliation with former beau Nick Jonas, telling her fans she is loving the single life.

She turned to her ex-boyfriend Jonas following her split from model Justin Gaston in June, prompting fans to speculate the teenage sweethearts had rekindled their relationship.

The rumor mill was then set into overdrive after Nick's elder brother Joe appeared to have confirmed the news while being quizzed by talk show host Larry King on June 18th.

However she has taken to her Twitter.com blog page to set the record straight - and let the world know she is more than happy on her own.

She writes: "I am lovinggg (sic) being single  life is so carefree!!! Spending the day enjoying... the beautiful sun in Savannah."

She is once again in the spotlight for posing in sexy pictures for the August issue of Elle magazine.

In the issue, she talks about her clothing line with Max Azria for Wal-Mart, "The jeans are my favorite part of the entire line. Because, like, literally this is going to be good for, like, Middle America, and it will be great for kids that really want to be in fashion but that don’t have it available."

She also talks about her frienships with fellow Disney stars, "It’s hard for all of us. There are so many people that could be using you. So me and Nick [Jonas] and Demi [Lovato], we don’t need anything from each other. We got our own thing going on."

She is no stranger to controversial photos after last year's semi-nude Annie Leibovitz photoshoot and numerous camera phone images in scantly-clad poses. In February, she was forced to apologize for taking snaps in which she and her friends appeared to mock Asians by pulling on their eyes. And last month the producer of her new movie posted suggestive images of the star on Twitter.

She had the chance to make a lot more than the $10,000 a day paycheck she took in while making last year's Disney hit Bolt.

According to TMZ, her contract for the film gave her the opportunity to make another $175,000 if the movie grossed $125 million or more in the U.S.; but, unfortunately for the star the film only grossed $114 million.

Further incentives reportedly would have paid out even more for every additional $25 million over that mark.

She recently released a third soundtrack from her hit Disney show, "Hannah Montana 3 - Songs From The Hit TV Series". On the album she collaborates with American Idol finalist David Archuleta, "Hannah Montana" co-star Mitchel Musso, and High School Musical alum Corbin Bleu.

She will star in Disney film "Wings" about a 15-year-old girl who sprouts a pair of wings and learns she's a fairy, according to Variety.com.

The film is based on a best-selling book by Aprilynne Pike. Published in May, the novel is the first of a planned four-book series.

She is currently shooting "The Last Song," an adaptation of a novel written by Nicholas Sparks.
