I love licorice Tea...and licorice jelly beans...But for vines or ropes...red licorice for me.
St. Blaze is apparently the patron Saint of throats...It is said he choked to death on a fish bone. There is a "Feast of St. Blaze" yearly and the preist blesses your throat. I took Blaze as my confirmation name. I have much the same phobia.

I love flowers in shades of blue and purple...Hydrangeas, violets, hyacinth, Lilacs. But I love all flowers, Jasmine or Magnolia is the best smell on a hot summer night.
