My sis and I were talking about a guy we know who was sent to prison an innocent men, it's a story we've all heard. If you had to choose one outcome you'd rather see, what would it be? The more I think about it, the more I think about it, it's a really hard one. What would you choose?

Hmm...i really cant stand the thought of an innocent man being sent to jail for something he or she has not done. So i guess my answer to this question would be set a guilty man although that might bring danger to others...

Don't you think it's easier to get the guilty person back behind bars, it being harder to reverse "justice" and get the innocent guy out of prison?

I can't make a choice. I think it would be easier to get a guilty person back behind bars than to reverse justice but what if you release a rapist that went to prison in the first place because the victim identified him, he will be back in prison because this time he didn't leave a witness behind. I feel for the people who are really innocent in prison and with everybody in prison claiming that their innocent it makes it that much harder for the real innocent ones to be taken seriously. I saw on the Montel show not to long ago, a man that has been in prison now for like 17 years because back when his 3 daughters were 4,5, and 7 years old, the mother and her boyfriend made the girls rehearse and testify that their father molested them. The daughters, now in their 20's says that their dad never molested them, they only said what they were told by the mother. a couple of the then jurors in the trial now say that they felt the testamonies were rehearsed but the girls were believable. Anyway's their tring to get him out of prison and it hasn't been easy. Looking at these two stories, I can't make a choice. I think that the detectives who knowingly convict an innocent person should be held accountable.

Too many variables to say. Generally speaking an innocent person should never be sent to prison and those who commit crimes should be held accountable but.

My ex got 'sent down' for a couple of months, for something he wasn't guilty of at the time. I enjoyed the peace and quiet so much, when he was released, I didn't bother going to pick him up.
