Well I would interpret the change as this.
Homosexuals.
Some person saw one that was excentric and interpreted it has happy and called him gay.
This in turn turned the word gay to mean homosexual. Society grabbed it by the balls and embraced it.
Then there was that whole phase a while back where people were calling things they didn't like homosexual... if you may or may not remember...
Therefore the word "Gay" turned to meaning "Lame" or "Pathetic." |
