She has denied reports she is set to shed her clothes in a new topless Las Vegas stage act.

She was snapped posing with ex-Spice Girl Melanie Brown on the opening evening of sexy striptease production Peepshow - which sees the former singer perform a range of Burlesque-style routines in the Sin City revue. Brown won rave revues for her performance and her body as she kicked-off the show last week, which will see different celebrities rotate in the lead role.

And speculation mounted that she who hasn't starred in a film since 2007, had jetted to Las Vegas to meet up with the revue's creator, Broadway director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell.

She had reportedly talked to Mitchell about the possibility of taking over from actress Kelly Monaco once her stint is over. But her rep has brushed off the rumors.

The spokesperson tells Radar Online, "She isn't interested at this time but it seems people are out there are saying she is doing this."

She is considering moving abroad in a bid to put her personal problems behind her - eying a fresh start in London.

She currently lives in Los Angeles but splits her time between the two cities.

But following her recent break-up from girlfriend Samantha Ronson, She is said to be seriously considering buying a home in the British capital to escape the unwanted media attention in America.

She says, "I like (London's) Notting Hill a lot. I also often stay with a friend in Chelsea. I'd move there tomorrow. I prefer London to New York. The people are less judgemental."

Gossip and controversy swirling around her is costing her a career comeback - because studio bosses are wary about working with her. She reveals one major movie project has already been put on hold because producers believe what they read about her supposed eating disorder, drug abuse and post-romance meltdown.

Appearing on Thursday's Ellen show, She said, "I had a really good opportunity with an amazing actor and it's been put on hold because of this coverage that's been coming out. I didn't get into this to be a celebrity on the cover of tabloids and I've been a target and I'm not that interesting but it's distracting; it distracts people, studio heads, everyone - they get nervous. But I'm ready to work and I'm responsible."

Reports about her mental health have been rampant since before she split from girlfriend Samantha Ronson last month, but she insists she's OK - and friends like fellow actress Natalie Portman are helping her focus on her career.

She added, "I have some really great friends. Natalie Portman's been there for me through everything."

Ben Holz was rumored to be romancing her after they were spotted frolicking in the sea in Hawaii together earlier this week.

But she who recently split from girlfriend Samantha Ronson, is still single according to web entrepreneur Holz, who was introduced to his new pal by another famous friend.

Holz tells Radar Online, "We have a mutual friend, Woody Harrelson, who lives here on the island - he asked me to show her around.

She was interrogated by immigration officials in Canada this weekend, who considered banning her from the country because of her drunk driving convictions.

She landed at Montreal Airport on Saturday for a scheduled nightclub appearance, but was hauled into a backroom by border staff after her 2007 arrests for driving under the influence (DUI) appeared on a computer database.

A source tells Us Weekly magazine, "Because of her DUIs they didn't want to let her into the country at first. The customs people gave her a real hard time."

She was finally allowed into the country after a one-hour interrogation.

Just weeks after starting a food fight with snappers outside her California home, the actress and a pal served up a second helping of eggs after she was followed home from a night out in Hollywood.

She and her accomplice arrived at her plush pad and ducked inside to avoid the lenses of the prying photographers - but they then reappeared armed with raw eggs and handfulls of pizza and began to hurl the food at the fleeing paparazzi.

A burglar alarm led police to her house on Tuesday, where officers found evidence of a potential break-in and ransacking.

Turns out, the mess belonged to her not the burglars, police said.

An alarm company notified police that someone tripped an alarm at the house around 3 p.m. in Hollywood. Police determined no one entered the home and nothing was stolen, but the mess inside her home prompted officers to ask, "Is it normally like this, or did the intruders do it?" said Los Angeles police Officer Karen Rayner.

She was not at home at the time.

A message left with her publicist Leslie Sloane-Zelnik was not immediately returned Tuesday night.

She is leaving her partying lifestyle behind to head back to her acting roots - she's landed the lead role in a new comedy movie.

She received acclaim for her performance in 2004's Mean Girls, but subsequent films were panned by critics.

She was reprimanded by movie bosses on 2006's Georgia Rule for "irresponsible and unprofessional" behavior and became more famous for her partying and personal life.

But she is heading back to the film set after landing the main role in fantasy comedy The Other Side, which tells the story of a graduate science student on a remote island.

Director David Michaels tells Daily Variety, "She very aware of people's perceptions of her. She's really committed to doing what she has to in order to change that."

Filming on the movie, which also stars Woody Harrelson and Alanis Morissette, is slated to begin in October.

Her father has vowed to help police catch the man who attempted to raid her Hollywood home. Surveillance cameras have picked up the suspicious man, who fled her mansion on Tuesday after tripping the alarm system and now Michael Lohan has launched a bid to find out who is behind the break-in - because he feels sure it's someone close to his daughter.

He tells WENN, "I was on the phone with the police department in Hollywood today. This is disgusting because someone knew that she in France with my daughter Ali right now - someone knew she was leaving the country and obviously it was someone close to her. I'm gonna find out who this person is and he's gonna have major problems."

She recently voiced that she will finally be on the straight (no pun intended) and narrow path of life. Her plight began with the Ellen Degeneres Show where she claimed that she had no idea (her and Samantha Ronson) were breaking up, that she found out how we all did, via the tabloids. She continued on throughout the interview taking no responsibility for any of her unsavory actions. Is she an immature, spoiled party girl or the victim of an admittedly out of control, ever so invasive paparazzi? She claims the latter, although her behavior shows otherwise.

As we all know, living in the public eye can be difficult and few actually ever master it. She became famous at a young age, just like America's Most Dysfunctional Celebrity, Britney Spears. She like Spears, seems to have been catapulted into an environment she was not able to handle. She began using cocaine, drinking excessively and became difficult and unreliable to work with. It is extremely difficult for stars to develop relationships with people; not knowing whether they actually like them for HOW they are instead of WHO they are. She quickly became consumed by fame, making one poor choice after the next. These actions of course brought heavy consequences for the fragile star.

Consequences, however, that may very done actually very little to change her behavior. She is no stranger to trouble as she has a drug arrest and several stints at various rehabs where she reportedly paid a guard handsomely to smuggle in drugs for her. These stints, unfortunately for her, coincided with her first lead dramatic role in "I Know Who Killed Me." Audiences seemed to have had enough of the spoiled star's bratty behavior and the film suffered by flopping at the box office.

She soon acquired the reputation of being difficult and unreliable to work with and her career suffered. In May of last year she took on a new cohort, Samantha Ronson, and the two quickly formed a tight, although tumultuous love affair. Her erratic behavior continued as the two publicly fought several times in various locations throughout the world. Even though she did little career wise, the ever present paparazzi never stopped following her and documenting her every move.

Now that the relationship has ended and the only thing she is now promoting is a tanning gel that she and Ronson co-created, she intends on making a comeback. She will undoubtedly have to fight very hard to redeem herself to not only the public but to Hollywood as well. She is currently in the same public arena as other spoiled famous brats (Paris Hilton, any of the Kardashians), more known for her ridiculous, extravagant and ignorant behavior than for her talent. She however, has something these moronic bimbos do not: she is an extremely competent actress.

On May 15th she announced she had landed the starring role in a new independent comedy, "The Other Side," co-starring Woody Harrelson, Dave Matthews, and Alanis Morissette. The question of her regaining movie star status seems an easy answer, how long she remains there is the burning question. The paparazzi will not back down on their stalking of her and it will only be exacerbated by any type of comeback. Is she strong enough to take the criticism, intense work schedule and continued ever so fierce paparazzi presence? I'm not sure. Sadly, she has achieved very little as far as rehabilitation is concerned and continues to blame others or certain circumstances for her unsavory behavior. Perhaps this will all help her mature and fully engulf the mega star status of which she is completely capable.

She is planning to convert to Judaism so she can marry on/off girlfriend Samantha Ronson, according to a new U.S. tabloid report.

The high profile pair split in March after a bust-up at a Hollywood hotel - but sources claim they have reunited in secret, and she has even proposed.

An insider tells the National Enquirer the wedding talk angered Ronson's Jewish family - so she has offered to convert.

The source tells the tabloid, "She says Sam's promised she'll persuade her family to accept this, and they won't wait to see if California changes their gay marriage legislation, but will travel to one of the states where it is legal to say their I do's."

California's Prop 8, the ballot proposition outlawing same-sex marriage, was passed in November, just weeks after the practice was allowed in the state.
