She has suffered a scratched cheek after a bust-up over Christmas decorations with on/off boyfriend Jamie Hince. She worried fans earlier this week when she stepped out in London recently sporting the painful marks, while rocker Hince was seen with a black eye.

But she insists it was just a petty lovers' quarrel.

She says, "We had a fight yesterday about what to do for Christmas. We had a bit of a scuffle and I was wearing a chunky ring, which caught him right in the eye. It's all okay now though. We fight and we have our ups and downs - like anyone, really."

She has laughed off reports she is pregnant with her second child, insisting she has simply put on "a couple of pounds." She sparked fresh claims she is expecting a baby with rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince last week, after the usually she was pictured out in London sporting a bulging tummy.

One weekend tabloid in the U.K. even went so far as to allege the model has confirmed to close pals she is three months pregnant.

But, in an interview with the March issue of New York Magazine, she shrugs off the reports and admits she is baffled by her own weight gain.

She tells the publication, "It's so awful, even my friends are phoning me up and saying, 'Are you pregnant?' And I'm like, 'No! I just put on a couple of pounds, and they went in the right place.' Isn't that weird?"

She is already mother to six year old Lila Grace, from her relationship with magazine publisher Jefferson Hack.

She has dated Hince since splitting from rocker Pete Doherty in 2007.

Designer Michael Kors has spoken out in defense of her after a German stylist branded the model "too heavy" to model.

Bitter Wolfgang Joop called her fat in a recent Bild.com article, prompting her to accuse her fellow countryman of trying to "revive his sagging career" last week. And now Kors, who is a judge on her TV fashion show Project Runway, is sticking up for the model.

He says, "She has the body that, quite honestly, most women and most guys would definitely consider a 10-plus."

And her "Project Runway" cohort Tim Gunn reveals Joop isn't the only German fashion foe taking aim at her - Karl Lagerfeld has also poked fun at the model's size.

He adds, "They (Lagerfeld and Joop) need to go to an ophthalmologist right away."

She won't be selling the secret behind her super slim figure - the supermodel has dismissed reports she's writing her own cookbook.

British tabloid reports suggested her who became famous for her waif-like figure, was preparing to release a book of her favorite recipes. She was allegedly inspired by a cookbook of traditional Jewish meals written by Stasha Palos, the step-daughter of U.K. retail mogul Philip Green, who helped her launch her hugely successful clothing line with his high street fashion store Topshop.

However a spokesperson for her has brushed off the claims, telling People.com, "There is no cookbook. We do not know where it came from but it is definitely false."

She made it ladies night at the launch of Beth Ditto's new fashion line on Wednesday, when she jumped onstage for a round of karaoke with the larger-than-life singer.

She was supporting the London launch of her rocker pal's new style range for British high street store Evans when the pair decided to treat the appreciative audience to a sing-a-long.

Guests including Kelly Osbourne and Simon Cowell cheered them on as they danced around on the stage together.

It's the second time in recent weeks that she has shown off her vocal talents with an all-star duet - she sang with Pink Floyd legend David Gilmour at a charity bash last month.

I like Kate - but I agree, Grim, she DID help spoil the supermodel style in the fashion world in favour of the waif look. I do think she has a better look now than when she started out, though.
