 According to People.com Tony Romo broke up with her on Thursday, the night before her 29th birthday. "She is heartbroken," says their source. "She loves Tony. But it's been difficult lately. He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show. They decided to part ways." The quarterback fueled breakup rumors when he showed up with friends at a Hollywood hot spot on Friday night without the birthday girl, "He had quite a few girls stop by his dance floor table," says an onlooker. "Romo was sipping Grey Goose and having a fun time with the boys." The source close to her is sad that the longtime couple broke up. "They were good together for a long time," says their source. "But I guess it wasn't meant to be." On Sunday she Tweeted, "Everyone needs to know that hope floats ... grab the strings and pull it back to you." Three hours later, she wrote, "Falling asleep with my mom and the dogs. Please lord give all of my beautiful fans, friends, enemies, and family rest. Bring all of us peace." She who was previously married to singer Nick Lachey, has been dating Romo since November 2007. Her rep had no comment. Romo's rep could not be reached for comment. |

The couple is alleged to have split last week when the Dallas Cowboys quarterback ended the 20-month relationship on the eve of her 29th birthday on Friday. The stars have yet to confirm the break-up claims - but reports suggest Romo dumped the singer when he discovered she was still in touch with rocker Mayer, from whom she split in 2007. A source tells RadarOnline.com, "They (her and Romo) were hanging out and he picked up her phone and she got defensive about it. Tony found messages from John and went ballistic. He dumped her right then. He walked out and that was it." |
