 She has hit out at the poor standard of romantic comedy films, insisting her turn in Two Weeks Notice was the pinnacle of the genre. She has starred in a string of rom-coms throughout her 22 year long career including Miss Congeniality, which saw her play a cop-turned-beauty-queen and fantasy film Practical Magic. But she is convinced the 2002 movie, in which she starred alongside Hugh Grant, spelled the end of the genre - because the quality of the movies made now is "crap". She says, "They're not funny, they're not romantic, they're not written well for women anymore. It was basically all crap. I did the last good one. I'm done." |

She feared her close friendship with pal Ryan Reynolds would be destroyed after they stripped naked together for a scene in The Proposal. She has known Reynolds for nine years and the pair has enjoyed holidays together with her husband Jesse James and Reynolds' wife Scarlett Johansson. Their close partnership was put to the test when they were forced to bare all in a sex scene for their new movie. Shooting lasted three days - but she insists filming the scene with such a close friend helped her make it more convincing. She tells WENN, "You know, when I read it, it read hilariously... we knew we had to be true to it, we didn't pretend to shoot naked because, like, when you see someone get out of a bed with a sheet... you go 'it's a sheet!' So we knew that in order for it to be truly funny we had to do it naked and it was three days of stunts - it was virtually naked stunt work. But I did it with a friend and he was very protective over me, and I of him, and thankfully our friendship left stronger and not destroyed... as it could have been." |

She is sure she'll enjoy a bumper pay day if she keeps taking her clothes off in movies, like fellow comedy actor Will Ferrell. She says, "If you're naked and you're trying to be sexy, you don't really make as much money as if you're naked and you're funny. Will Ferrell has been on to that for quite some time.
