Jennifer Aniston had a nose job and liposuction before she was famous, according to an old friend. Actress Nancy Balbirer, who once shared an apartment with the former Friends star, makes the claims in a new novel, which is believed to be based on the actress' life.

The book's main character, named Jane, is described as a "famous sitcom actress" in a show where friends live together. In the tome, titled 'The Underminer: Or, the Best Friend Who Casually Destroys Your Life', Jane complains of her Greek nose, before having plastic surgery to correct it and also has hairline work.

Balbirer, 40, also claims Aniston - who has previously complained of her Greek features - had her fired from 'Friends.' However, Aniston's spokesperson has denied the star has ever had cosmeticsurgery, and said of Balbirer: "She sounds like an opportunist."
