The family of R&B veteran El Debarge is relieved the singer will not face charges for his recent cocaine arrest, insisting the "truth has prevailed."
The star was taken into custody by Los Angeles police on Monday on suspicion of felony possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
But the count was dropped on Thursday due to insufficient evidence - and his family is thankful the singer will not be prosecuted for a crime he claims he didn't commit.
The DeBarges' lawyer, Spencer Vodnoy, tells, "The family said they were relieved to hear that no charges will be filed against El.
"At the end of the day the truth appears to have prevailed and I am sure he will be getting back to work on his career, his health and happiness."
However, El DeBarge is no stranger to the law - he has been arrested three times for drug possession since 2001. His music star brother James is currently behind bars over assault and drug charges.
