Los Angeles (September 4, 2007) — Following the massive success of their October 2006 release The Open Door, which has sold nearly 2 million copies in the U.S., and their co-headlining spot on this summer's Family Values Tour with Korn, Evanescence will headline their own North American tour this Fall. The tour will begin October 23rd in Miami and conclude on or about December 10th. Tickets for most of the shows will go on sale beginning Saturday, September 8th and are available at Ticketmaster.

"I am excited to be headlining our own tour this Fall," says frontwoman Amy Lee. "While Family Values Tour was fun, it will be nice to do something special for Evanescence fans. This time around we will get to spend more time with the audience and play a longer and more diverse set." Evanescence has chosen Australian modern rock trio Sick Puppies and electronic rock act Julien-K to support them on the tour.

Evanescence is Amy Lee (vocals, piano), Terry Balsamo (guitar), Tim McCord (bass), Troy McLawhorn (guitar) and Will Hunt (drums). Fallen, their major-label debut, was released in April 2003 to critical and commercial success and has sold more than fifteen million copies. Their second major label debut, The Open Door, debuted at Number One on the Billboard charts and reached platinum status in just over a month. Sick Puppies will bring its infectious tunes and a jaw-dropping stage show to the US tour dates in support of its North American debut, Dressed Up As Life, which was released by RMR/ Music Group/Virgin Records in April 2007.

Julien-K is the brainchild of two of the founding members of the platinum selling group Orgy; Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck. Fusing the elements of dark electronic club music with styles of modern rock & pop, Julien-K are at the forefront of the electronic music scene. Joined by drummer Elias Andra and studio collaborator and cohort Brandon Belsky on keyboards & vocals, the band pushes the boundaries of what traditional electronic music is supposed to be with explosive live performances that are larger than life.
