Boxing legend Evander Holyfield has finalized his divorce.
The retired athlete split from wife Candi in 2010, shortly after she obtained a restraining order against him over allegations he hit her during an argument. She subsequently dropped the ban and agreed to attend counselling sessions with her partner, but the marriage couldn't be saved.
The couple's divorce was finalised last month at Georgia Superior Court after reaching an agreement on issues including child custody and alimony payments, according to TMZ.com.
The news comes just weeks after the former Undisputed World Champion was forced to move out of his Georgia home following a foreclosure order over missed mortgage payments.
However, Holyfield has been spotted out enjoying the single life since his divorce - he has been seen attending the boxing events at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Holyfield won a bronze medal in the 1984 Games in Los Angeles.
