The Flick: From Alan Spencer, the mastermind behind work like "Sledge Hammer," "Bullet in the Face" is a fun, inspired and delightfully sinful show if ever there was one.  Max E. Williams plays killer Gunter Vogler who was recently betrayed and ends up though surgery with the face of a cop.  Comedy most assuredly ensues, as amidst the policeman face, Vogler underneath is still very much a mayhem enjoying bad guy.  Plus his surrounding cast – gutless partner Neil Napier, brutal girlfriend Kate Kelton, unprofessional boss Jessica Steen, bad mob dudes Eddie Izzard and Eric Roberts – are all top notch and add to the comedic flavor here.  The only bad part about this caustic and witty series?  It’s only six episodes and there ain’t no more.

Best Feature: The candid and revealing 'Commentary' on each episode by creator and showrunner Alan Spencer goes from informative (he talks all about making it!) to downright personal (he experienced a death in the family while in production) – a MUST listen.

Best Hidden Gem: Neil Napier, as the partner torn between his hatred of killer Vogler and seeing his best friends face, nearly steals the show with his deadpan delivery and killer cowardice.

Worth the Moola: This is a five star series and set if ever there was one – wish there was more.
